Several years ago there was a television series appropriately titled "Life
Goes On." Indeed it does, even in the midst of dying.
Casey's fall ball is off to a good start at Samford. The Rebels are preparing for the Hoover game Friday night and it's time to mark your calendars for the Rebel Shootout Golf tournament. The tournament will be held Nov 4 at Bent Brook Golf Course. Visit www.Vestaviabaseball.com and download your signup sheet/ Golf is $150 per golfer and hole sponsorships are $200. Proceeds from this year's tournament will help to build the Bteam/freshman locker room. Life is going on for Coach Dunn as well. On Monday he asked to see Bruce. We weren't sure what was on his mind and Linda had warned us not to mention
Hoover. She was afraid he'd try to figure out a way to get there. Turns out all he really wanted was to know who we play this week. Bruce looked like a deer with his eyes in the headlights when he finally responded "Bucs." He didn't mention Hoover, but he couldn't lie to Coach Dunn.
Thank you again for your wonderful response to the meal request. Some of you have also volunteered for babysitting Sam or James Bruce, running errands, helping with the yard, or cleaning the house. We continue to be so grateful for a
community and network of loving generous people. One Hoover dad responded with a meal offer and said he was just so appreciative of what Coach Dunn has meant to high school athletics. Only God could move people's hearts to give so generously and unselfishly.
Thanks for praying,
Donna
